Theatre Minors

Complement your degree with a minor in theatre.

Ideal for students who have a passion for theatre, a minor allows students to specialize in either theatre acting or theatre design/technology. The theatre minor is compatible with any course of study and allows you to express your creative abilities regardless of your major.


Minor in Theatre: Acting

The minor in acting is designed to give students the flexibility to explore the basic principles theatre with courses in acting, movement, directing,set, costume and theatre history. Training in the art of performance will enhance your communication skills for any number of fields, including law, politics, teaching, sales, marketing and management.

Minor in Theatre: Design/Technology

The minor in Design/Technology provides a broad base of study in set design, scenery construction, lighting design, scenic art, costume construction and sound. Students have opportunities for both fundamental and advanced course work with professional designers and technicians. Students are encouraged to contribute as designers or technicians on University productions.
